**Job Summary**

The Los Angeles Education Partnership is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Engagement Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in building effective family engagement strategies, cultivating empowering family leadership, and strengthening authentic relationships between families and school staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with partner schools to develop and implement sustainable parent and family engagement strategies, including:
  • Facilitating parent/family workgroups to engage them as critical stakeholders and full partners in school transformation strategies.
  • Conducting ongoing outreach and facilitating dialogue with families to ensure their voice and involvement in the continuous improvement of the school.
  • Coordinating programs and activities to support parent and student involvement and engagement, ultimately impacting the collective families' success.
  • Developing and delivering presentations and workshops that build up participating parents' sense of belonging, decision-making, skills set, advocacy, and leadership development.
  • Building and transforming the culture of families as true and equal partners at our partnering school sites.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to develop a family engagement implementation plan that coordinates, integrates, strengthens, and manages resources and support at each school site.
  • Partnering with school staff to build the capacity of parent centers, ensuring they model inclusivity, shared decision-making, shared learning, and collaboration, and authentic relationship-building.
  • Cross-collaborating with other LAEP teams based at feeder pattern partner elementary, middle, and high school campuses, developing workgroups to address collective academic, social-emotional, and wellness needs of our families.
  • Facilitating ongoing pipeline and feeder pattern collaboration between our schools, engaging school staff at every stage.
  • Participating in the collection and input of evaluation data used to measure ongoing program effectiveness of service providers and progress towards the school's goals.
  • Working with families, community partners, and the school to develop transition programs for entry and transition to middle school that address social-emotional adjustment and academics.

  • Ability to analyze data and inform program development and improvement.
