The Messaging Systems Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication within our organization by providing advanced support for users encountering issues in a hybrid Exchange O365 environment.
Key Responsibilities:Primary Duties Include:
- Delivering tier 2 and tier 3 assistance for users facing messaging challenges in an Exchange O365 hybrid setup, utilizing a ticketing system for efficient issue tracking.
- Possessing a solid understanding and hands-on experience with the Service Now application.
- Developing and revising documentation to aid Level 1 and Level 2 Help Desk teams in resolving user messaging problems.
- Proposing and implementing necessary modifications to enhance user interfaces related to messaging, ensuring requests are processed efficiently, whether through self-service options or by directing them to technical teams.
- Acting as a liaison between the Exchange messaging team and Service Desk management to foster effective collaboration on messaging-related concerns.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting hybrid Exchange on-premises and Office 365 cloud environments, including mailbox migrations and cloud archiving.
- Experienced with email security measures, including spam protection and email firewall technologies, particularly with Proofpoint.
- Knowledgeable in Office 365 administration, including applications like OneDrive, Teams, and O365 Management APIs.
- Skilled in troubleshooting various email clients linked to Exchange, such as Outlook, OWA, and mobile devices.
- Familiar with Active Directory and its functionalities.
- Experience with Windows file systems and shared drives.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, enabling professional interactions with users, vendors, and technical teams.
Additionally, familiarity with other messaging technologies, such as scanning, faxing, and voicemail systems, is advantageous.
