The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Research Support Team as a Contract and Grant Administrator. This role will play a critical part in supporting the development of research proposals and ensuring compliance with university and sponsor requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist investigators in developing and submitting grant and contract proposals, including budget development and justification.
- Review and interpret funding guidelines to ensure compliance with university and sponsor requirements.
- Communicate with faculty and staff to gather information and provide guidance on the proposal submission process.
- Develop and maintain records in UNM's research administration software.
- Collaborate with the Central Office of Sponsored Projects to ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in research administration or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
The University of New Mexico offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as tuition remission and dependent education programs. This is a regular full-time position with a competitive salary range of $3,657.33-$4,000 per month, depending on education and experience.
