In this role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our patients, playing a crucial role in fostering a positive and inviting atmosphere.
Your contributions will ensure the efficient operation of our clinic and support the delivery of high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Engagement:
Welcome and assist patients with a friendly and professional attitude, providing information and addressing inquiries regarding our services and procedures.
Appointment Management:
Oversee the scheduling of patient appointments, collaborating with the clinical team to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
Patient Registration:
Accurately collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical history. Ensure all necessary forms and documentation are completed.
Check-In and Check-Out Procedures:
Efficiently manage patient check-ins, process payments, and handle insurance information. Provide receipts and schedules for follow-up visits.
Communication:
Handle phone calls and emails, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and effective manner.
Record Management:
Maintain organized patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. File, update, and retrieve records as necessary.
Insurance Coordination:
Assist in obtaining required authorizations or referrals.
Administrative Support:
Provide assistance with general office tasks, including data entry, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring the reception area is tidy and welcoming.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus). Previous experience in a medical or healthcare receptionist role is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing professionalism and empathy. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in using computer software, including electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is advantageous. Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality. Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
