Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Professional - Education to join our team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for members of all ages, with a focus on academic development and career readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Plan and implement a variety of educational programs, including Career Launch, Computer Science Pathway, Diplomas2Degrees, DIY STEM, Money Matters, Power Hour, Summer Brain Gain, Tech Girls Rock, and Ultimate Journey.
  • Program Delivery: Deliver educational programs to members of all ages, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
  • Program Evaluation: Collect and maintain student grades and other educational data, and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Program Promotion: Promote educational programs to members and staff, and encourage participation.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Knowledge of youth development, ability to motivate youth and manage behavior issues, ability to work with the public, and ability to plan and implement quality programs specific to academic development.
Work Environment

This position works Monday through Friday, 2PM to 7PM, with occasional longer hours and weekends as needed. Work is conducted indoors and outdoors.

Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time, bending and squatting on occasion, ability to lift up to 20 lbs on occasion.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to maintain high energy level when necessary, high degree of emotional intelligence.
