We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Professional - Art to join our team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising a variety of art programs for members of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development
- Plan and implement a range of art programs, including National Arts Contests, Drama Matters, Lyrism 101, Music Makers, Media Making, and National Photography Program.
- Recruit and retain youth for art programs.
- Program Administration
- Work with other staff in the club to help implement programs throughout the school year.
- Prepare weekly reports for the Program Director/Unit Director regarding activities, special programs, upcoming events, attendance, and other reports as required.
- Program Evaluation
- Monitor and evaluate program achievement against target goals.
- Recommend modifications that respond to member needs and interests.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in program area.
- Maintain the cleanliness of program area.
- Additional Responsibilities
- May participate in additional special programs and/or events.
- Evenings/weekend work may be involved.
- May be required to drive Club van.
- Education
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience
- Knowledge of youth development.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior issues.
- Ability to work with the public.
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs specific to The Arts.
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
This position generally works M – F, between the hours of 2PM – 7PM, but may require longer hours outside of this schedule and occasional weekends when necessary. Work is conducted indoors and outdoors.
Physical and Mental Requirements- Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time; bending and squatting on occasion.
- Ability to lift to 20 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to hear at a normal conversational level.
- Ability to maintain high energy level when necessary.
- High degree of emotional intelligence.
