Job Summary

We are seeking an Employment Training Specialist 3 to join our team at Viability, Inc. This role will involve promoting and expanding employment opportunities for individuals with mental health or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as an Employment Specialist to promote and expand employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities
  • Develop and implement employment plans to support individuals in achieving their career goals
  • Build relationships with employers and community organizations to identify job opportunities and provide support to individuals in their job search
  • Provide training and support to individuals to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to secure and maintain employment
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals with disabilities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a related field, or an associate's degree with 2-3 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of experience
  • Ability to use computers, including Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential
  • Valid driver's license, 3 years of driving experience, good driving record, and willingness to transport participants in a personal vehicle
  • Ability to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations
