Direct Support Professional 3

Bridgewell is a leading provider of social and human services that empower individuals with disabilities and other life challenges to live safe, self-directed, and productive lives. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 3 to join our team in a Level 3 residential program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support and assistance to individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
- Create opportunities for individuals to develop their skills and foster independence, while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Provide services to individuals according to regulatory standards, including DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Transport and accompany individuals to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program, as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including medical, clinical, and financial records.
- Assist individuals in accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community, promoting socialization and community integration.
- Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.
- Maintain core training certifications, including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP, and complete additional mandated certifications and training as required by the program.
- Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree or DSP certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to write clear and articulate reports.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Valid driver's license and minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications used by the agency.
