Event Operations Technician

Mount Auburn Cemetery is seeking a skilled Event Operations Technician to assist with the daily setup and breakdown of funeral events, catered receptions, artistic performances, staff meetings, and other public and private events taking place on our campus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting event equipment and furnishings to various locations, setting up and breaking down events, and supporting the Event Operations Supervisor with inventory management and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the appearance and general condition of event spaces meet Mount Auburn's standards of excellence
  • Prioritize safety and follow Mount Auburn's codes, regulations, and safety and accessibility standards
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including transporting equipment and furnishings
  • Support the Event Operations Supervisor with inventory management and maintenance
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to guests and staff
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Language fluency in English and Spanish preferred
  • Experience organizing schedules and handling multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain a professional outlook under pressure
Working Conditions:

This is a heavy work position that requires frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of objects weighing up to 80 pounds. You will be working outdoors in various weather conditions and may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
