Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services.

About the Role:

  • Participate in the implementation of nursing care plans by providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses.
  • Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other relevant data.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
  • Serve as Monitor/Telemetry Tech for the unit as needed.
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.

Requirements:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
