People Architects is proud to present an opportunity for a Financial Controller for our esteemed client.

The successful candidate will be a meticulous professional responsible for managing the financial documentation and accounting personnel of the organization. This role involves ensuring that all protocols and controls are upheld concerning the financial accounts of this small to mid-sized enterprise.

This position calls for a seasoned financial expert with a solid 10-15 year history of achievement, who will deliver insightful financial guidance, analysis, and reporting to the executive team. The ideal individual will have outstanding communication abilities and will be adept at fostering relationships across various departments within the company. They will demonstrate high ethical standards, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain financial protocols to protect assets and guarantee precise reporting in line with GAAP standards.
  • Respond to information requests and provide timely and accurate data to the executive team as needed.
  • Oversee financial shared services, driving strategic enhancements across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
  • Fulfill all reporting obligations: monthly, quarterly, year-end, and tax submissions.
  • Devise strategies to enhance working capital and collaborate with international divisions.
  • Review monthly financial statements for accuracy and compliance, preparing comprehensive review packages for leadership.
  • Support acquisition efforts, compliance initiatives, and financial reporting tasks.
  • Generate reports on key financial metrics and consolidate non-financial reports for productivity and performance assessments.
  • Optimize tax liabilities through effective global business strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to global finance teams, ensuring adherence to corporate initiatives.
  • Manage corporate accounting audits.
  • Assist with special projects, process optimization, and initiatives specific to the operating company.
  • Analyze operational performance to identify trends and recommend corrective measures.

Qualifications (required and preferred):

  • 10+ years of experience in professional accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • CPA certification is desirable.
  • Experience in public accounting and roles such as Accounting Manager or Corporate Controller.
  • Strategic thinker with a background in business and financial planning.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, ethical professional with credibility.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and decision-making capabilities.
