Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, analyzing financial data to provide insights that support business decisions.
  • Manage and coordinate audits and tax preparations, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy, collaborating with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the role.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
