Our Client:
Aquent is collaborating with a prominent financial organization seeking to enhance their creative team with talented video editors for upcoming freelance opportunities. We are in search of a proficient and innovative Video Editor with a flair for crafting captivating narratives across diverse formats, from brief social media snippets to extensive storytelling projects. This role demands a blend of stock footage and original content, requiring both creativity and technical prowess to produce cohesive and impactful visual narratives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Editing for Various Formats:
    • Produce short-form videos (approximately 6 seconds) for social media and long-form content (2 minutes or more) tailored to various storytelling needs.
    • Ensure each video is engaging and aligns with the overall project goals.
  • Integration of Found Footage:
    • Skillfully combine stock footage with original material to create seamless and visually appealing stories.
    • Select and source appropriate clips from stock libraries to enhance the narrative flow.
  • Diverse Storytelling:
    • Edit a variety of video formats, including interviews, scripted narratives, case studies, and promotional reels.
    • Adapt to different storytelling styles and formats as required by each project.
  • Rough Cut Assembly:
    • Efficiently compile rough cuts for internal review, showcasing strong offline editing skills.
    • Collaborate with the team to refine edits based on constructive feedback.
  • Final Editing and Finishing:
    • For mid-senior level candidates, perform online editing tasks, including audio mixing and color grading of live-action footage, to deliver polished final outputs.
  • Collaborative Creativity:
    • Work closely with the creative team to develop and enhance storylines based on approved briefs.
    • Provide creative insights and suggestions to enrich the storytelling process.
Preferred Skills:
  • Motion Graphics and Animation:
    • Ability to design and integrate motion graphics and animations to elevate video projects.
  • Audio Design:
    • Experience in sound design to enhance audio quality and overall video impact.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in video editing, with a robust portfolio showcasing both short-form and long-form works.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar applications.
  • Strong capability to work with stock footage and original content.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
  • Experience in offline editing and familiarity with online editing processes, including audio mixing and color grading.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a creative team.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and sound design is advantageous.

These projects are expected to ramp up in the near future, with paid training commencing once the right candidate is identified.
