Creative Video Editor with Motion Graphics Expertise

Our esteemed financial client is looking to establish a pool of talented video editors for upcoming freelance assignments. We are in search of a proficient and innovative Video Editor to enhance our expanding team. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong capability to craft captivating narratives across diverse formats, ranging from brief social media clips to extensive storytelling pieces. This position entails working with a combination of stock footage and original content, necessitating creativity and technical proficiency to produce cohesive and impactful videos. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with our creative team to ensure projects align with approved storylines and deliver polished final products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Editing for Various Formats:
    • Edit short-form videos (up to 6 seconds) for social media platforms and long-form pieces (over 2 minutes) for various storytelling needs.
    • Ensure each video is engaging, compelling, and meets the project's objectives.
  • Integration of Found Footage:
    • Seamlessly blend stock footage with original production content to create unified and visually appealing narratives.
    • Select and source appropriate shots from stock footage libraries to enhance the overall story.
  • Diverse Storytelling:
    • Edit a variety of video formats, including interviews, scripted narratives, case studies, and promotional reels.
    • Adapt to different storytelling styles and formats to fulfill project requirements.
  • Offline Editing:
    • Efficiently assemble rough cuts for internal review and revisions, showcasing strong offline editing skills.
    • Collaborate with the team to refine edits based on constructive feedback.
  • Online Editing and Finishing:
    • For mid-senior level candidates, perform online editing tasks, including audio mixing and color grading of live-action footage, to deliver polished final products.
  • Collaborative Creativity:
    • Work closely with the creative team to develop and refine storylines and narratives based on approved creative briefs.
    • Provide creative insights and suggestions to enhance the storytelling process.

Preferred Skills:

  • Motion Graphics and Animation:
    • Ability to create and integrate motion graphics and animations to elevate video projects.
  • Sound Design:
    • Experience in sound design to enhance audio quality and overall impact of video content.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in video editing, with a robust portfolio showcasing both short-form and long-form projects.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Strong ability to integrate and work with stock footage and original content.
  • Excellent storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Experience in offline editing and familiarity with online editing processes, including audio mixing and color grading.
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with a creative team.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and sound design is advantageous.
