Job Title: Sales Associate at KRSS Fort Worth

Position Overview: The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in driving merchandise sales, including leather products, home decor, luggage, hunting gear, clothing, and jewelry, by assisting customers in their product selections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide customers in choosing products, ensuring each individual receives attentive service both in-store and via phone.
  • Exhibit proficiency in upselling and cross-selling items.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and acknowledging customers promptly.
  • Showcase comprehensive product knowledge, including care and functionality.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and advertising efforts.
  • Assist with store layout changes, merchandising, display upkeep, and overall cleanliness.
  • Support inventory management by processing and restocking merchandise.
  • Ensure timely re-wrapping of products as needed.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including pricing, signing, and loss prevention measures.
  • Efficiently handle all sales transactions while maintaining accurate cash and media accountability at the point of sale.
  • Communicate customer inquiries and requests to management effectively.
  • Educate customers about the history and values of King Ranch.
  • Manage the transfer and stocking of store materials.
  • Be available to work varied hours as business needs dictate.
  • Access all areas of the store, including sales floor, stockroom, and register area.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule that accommodates production timelines and seasonal demands, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to read and comprehend at a high school level.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics to manage product costs, returns, and change accurately.
  • Capable of processing merchandise through the computer and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both customers and team members.
  • Ability to read, count, calculate, and write to complete forms and inventory logs accurately.
  • Proficient in operating all necessary store equipment.
  • Skilled in personalizing leather goods.
  • Willingness to follow instructions from supervisors and demonstrate organizational skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No supervisory duties are associated with this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and navigate multiple flights of stairs.
  • Capability to lift and handle merchandise weighing between 0-60 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons.

Work Environment:

This position is located in a retail environment.
