Position Overview: As a Front Desk Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient operations.

Role Summary: The Front Desk Associate is tasked with managing payment transactions from clients and staff for various services and products, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all financial exchanges. A professional and approachable demeanor is essential. You will also perform a variety of clerical duties and provide comprehensive office support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process cash, checks, and credit card transactions from clients, maintaining accurate records.
  2. Manage repair orders effectively.
  3. Issue receipts and provide change to customers as needed.
  4. Conduct daily cash reconciliations.
  5. Assist customers with inquiries and direct them to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
  6. Handle customer concerns with professionalism and direct them to the relevant parties for further assistance.
  7. Perform general clerical tasks as required.
  8. Participate in training sessions as directed by your supervisor.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  10. Answer incoming calls, directing them to the correct department or individual.
  11. Communicate with callers in a courteous and efficient manner, minimizing hold times.
  12. Take detailed messages when requested, ensuring timely communication to the relevant parties.
  13. Provide general information to callers, including company details and services.
  14. Maintain and distribute the company telephone directory.
  15. Welcome and guide visitors to the appropriate areas.
  16. Sort and distribute incoming mail, maintaining records of publications.
  17. Coordinate express mail services as needed.
  18. Assist with additional clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, and filing.
  19. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; or six months to one year of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Skills Required: Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to understand and follow instructions, proficiency in writing routine correspondence, and capability to present information effectively in various settings. Strong customer service skills, basic math abilities, and proficiency in personal computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets, are essential. Ability to operate standard office equipment and manage tasks efficiently is required.

Physical Requirements: The role requires regular sitting, hand dexterity for operating a cash register, and the ability to communicate effectively. Occasionally, the role may require lifting up to 20 pounds.
