Position Overview

The Model Risk Analyst role is pivotal in evaluating and overseeing a variety of financial models utilized within the organization. This position entails rigorous testing, thorough analysis, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements to mitigate model-related risks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute independent assessments of credit risk, market risk, and operational risk models
  • Formulate and apply validation techniques employing quantitative methods and statistical evaluations
  • Examine model documentation to confirm compliance with internal protocols and regulatory mandates
  • Conduct back-testing and sensitivity assessments to determine model precision
  • Recognize and convey model constraints and risks to relevant stakeholders
  • Engage with stakeholders to resolve validation issues and propose enhancements
  • Compile validation reports detailing observations and suggestions
  • Track model performance and perform evaluations to ensure ongoing relevance
  • Participate in regulatory examinations concerning model risk governance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced degree is advantageous
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in model validation or quantitative analysis
  • Robust understanding of statistical and mathematical modeling methodologies
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and communication capabilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office software
