Job Overview

Central Bark is seeking a part-time Dog Daycare Attendant to provide exceptional care for our furry guests.

Part-time positions typically involve working 25-30 hours per week during one of the following shifts:

  • 6:30 am - 12:30 pm
  • 12:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Availability for one weekend shift (6:30 am - 9:00 am or 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm) is essential.

Role Summary: The Dog Daycare Attendant will primarily engage with dogs in our outdoor play area, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Responsibilities include supervising playgroups, maintaining cleanliness, and providing care for the dogs.

Attendants collaborate closely with front desk personnel to relay important information regarding the dogs, enhancing customer communication.

Key Responsibilities (additional tasks may be assigned):

  • Supervise and engage with playgroups of dogs, applying the latest knowledge in canine behavior and training. Duties include playing, enriching activities, grooming, feeding, and cleaning.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and management to deliver daycare, overnight, and enrichment services.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as waste removal, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting, as well as bathing dogs when necessary.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for all dogs, documenting individual behavior and needs.
  • Familiarize oneself with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Candidates must be able to fulfill the essential duties listed above. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Education and Experience: Previous experience with dogs is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant experience may include pet ownership, animal care work, or volunteering at shelters.

Physical Requirements: The role requires performing various physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors. Skills in grasping and controlling dogs are also necessary.

Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand dog-related information, including names and care instructions, and effectively communicate with management.

Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Windows-based applications is advantageous.
