Radio Frequency and Electronic Warfare Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is in search of an Electronic Warfare/Radio Frequency Engineer to deliver specialized technical support to the NAVY's Exports Program Office. This role is on-site and based in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will offer expert technical insights and recommendations regarding Radio Frequency and Electronic Warfare systems, including the performance of various platforms, as well as drafting defense position papers and decision memoranda related to the export of these systems.
Key Responsibilities of the EW/RF Engineer include:
- Providing technical, system, or engineering expertise in military technologies and platforms, particularly those involving radar systems, infrared technologies, electronic warfare, and related platforms.
- Assessing system utility and operational effectiveness.
- Interpreting Department of Defense (DoD) instructions on export policies to advise DoD and industry stakeholders on export requests, while coordinating export policies with subject matter experts across various DoD branches to ensure compliance.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with various DoD entities, intelligence communities, and other stakeholders to address program requirements effectively.
Qualifications for the EW/RF Engineer include:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in export processes, RF/EW technologies.
- Proficiency in policy development, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI is required for consideration.
Compensation for the EW/RF Engineer includes:
- Salary: $150,000 - $185,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
