Our Engineering Controls Field team focuses on all controllers/control devices for buildings, including AHUs, VAV, Chillers, Water Plants, and data center applications.


Job Overview

This position offers an estimated salary of $110,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience. As an Advanced Building Controls Specialist, you will play a key role in our team's success by designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced building controls systems.


Responsibilities:
  • Understanding controls programming for BAS systems (Function Block/Script, Graphics/UI)
  • Modifying graphical user interfaces for BAS systems
  • Visits job sites for checkout, commissioning, and systems programming
  • Folllowing established standards and procedures for software development, communication, and documentation
  • IDentifying control issues (troubleshoot) and making necessary corrections
  • Working with project team members and associated contractor personnel to ensure system commissioning process success
  • Providing training as requested, either on-site or from our office
  • Managing communications with customers, subcontractors, field engineers, and providing guidance and updates to project managers

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical engineering, or similar programming
  • Controls Programming Experience is a must
  • BACnet, Modbus protocols experienced preferred
  • Strong Knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems, air handlers, chillers, controls is a must
  • Programming, software design, documentation, debugging, and problem-solving skills
