Culinary Director

Gecko Hospitality

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Director to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. As the primary authority, you will manage all food preparation staff, including Sous Chefs, Pastry Chefs, and Fry Cooks. This role encompasses human resource, financial, and administrative responsibilities related to direct reports. You will collaborate closely with the Corporate Executive Chef to ensure that culinary standards are consistently upheld. A Professional Culinary Director should be prepared to handle all aspects of the Executive Chef's duties in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs, Pastry Chefs, and Fry Cooks
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Executive Chef to ensure culinary standards are consistently upheld
  • Handle administrative responsibilities, including human resources and financial management

Requirements:

  • High volume restaurant management experience of at least 3 years
  • Passion for mentoring and developing others
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Extremely guest-oriented with the highest degree of honesty and integrity
