- Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Cafe G at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
- Develop and implement menu plans, recipes, and inventory management systems to maintain high-quality food standards.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Streamline kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times and ensure efficient food preparation.
- Develop and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a high-performing team.
- Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent culinary skills with knowledge of menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with staff and customers.
- Physical stamina to withstand working on the line for a full shift and ability to lift 50# safely.
