Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. As a key member of our respiratory care department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients in our intensive care unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic and intensive respiratory care to patients, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Initiate and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other life-support procedures as needed.
  • Ensure adequate airway management and assist with intubation as required.
  • Recognize, interpret, and record signs and symptoms of respiratory dysfunction and medication side effects.
  • Verify and sign all new orders for respiratory care, ensuring they coincide with current departmental policy.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree from an accredited respiratory program.
  • Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification issued by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in acute care, with new graduates considered.
