We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Wound Care Specialist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. As a Registered Nurse Wound Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients on our Wound Care Unit.
- Apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
- Provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
- Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
- Have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required. Wound Care experience is required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current BLS certification is required.
- ACLS is preferred.
