Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  1. Quality Inspectors are tasked with conducting inspections according to the predetermined schedule and reporting findings to the designated Team Leader or Quality Manager.
  2. The Quality Supervisor ensures that the Quality Control Inspectors adhere to the inspection schedule and relay results to the appropriate Team Leader or Quality Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices and safety protocols.
  2. Conduct quality assessments on all production lines three times per shift, and as necessary.
  3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the quality standards for all products.
  4. Oversee First Piece Approvals (FPA) and provide the necessary inspection materials, such as Product Data Cards.
  5. Execute specialized product testing as required.
  6. Operate the INSTRON machine for compression testing on relevant finished products.
  7. Inspect measurement devices, including gram scales, for accuracy.
  8. Conduct receiving inspections for incoming jobs.
  9. Test relevant products for leaks, lid-fit, and strength at designated intervals.
  10. Accurately complete all necessary documentation and paperwork.
  11. Utilize and interpret measurement tools such as gram scales, dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
  12. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, completing the Lab Housekeeping worksheet each shift.
  13. Perform any reasonable job duties assigned by the Quality Manager.
Primary Interactions

The Quality Inspector will engage daily with all personnel within the facility.

  8. Have a fundamental understanding of control charts.
  9. Exhibit strong math, reading, and writing abilities.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of one year of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should possess good math, reading, and writing skills.
