We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team at WL Plastics LLC. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Unload and load customer product, inspect product, and place it correctly in storage yard.
- Operate and maintain company equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company standards and manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, production, and shipping teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inventory and load product specified by shipping orders, labeling and sorting as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both inbound and outbound customers.
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably in an outdoor setting.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely in a production environment and physically perform job-related tasks.
- Preferred experience operating front-end loaders, forklift trucks, or other related material-handling equipment.
- Ability to become forklift certified per company policy.
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures and inclement weather.
- Regularly lift objects up to 50 lbs and stand for 8-12 hours per day.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
