Job Summary

The Director of Financial Aid and Operations will oversee the Financial Aid Department at Arizona College of Nursing, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and providing exceptional support to students. This role requires a strong understanding of Title IV aid administration and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Counseling and Support: Provide sensitive and confidential financial aid counseling to students and families, helping them understand and navigate the financial aid process.
  • Financial Aid Administration: Manage the campus's financial aid department, ensuring compliance with federal Title IV guidelines and regulations.
  • Student Support: Assist new students in obtaining all federal aid they may qualify for, while ensuring the department is meeting its goals and benchmarks.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with the Executive Director, Enrollment Services, and Regional Director, Financial Aid, to increase efficiencies within the campus financial aid department.
  • Communication: Develop and disseminate financial aid information through presentations, workshops, and publications, both on and off-campus.
  • Supervision: Hire and supervise financial aid officers, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Compliance: Monitor the awarding of financial aid to students, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of corrections directed by the quality assurance team.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the privacy of student data and ensure the department's compliance with federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in Title IV aid administration, preferably in management or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum one year of direct supervisory experience.
  • Customer Service: High degree of professionalism and discretion dealing with confidential information, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
