Gas Infrastructure Engineer

Design and Planning:


o Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate project strategies, ensuring adherence to safety standards and industry regulations, scope, timeline, and financial constraints.

o Utilize engineering expertise to develop comprehensive designs for gas distribution and transmission systems, including pipelines, compressor stations, and ancillary facilities.

o Assess project viability, taking into account factors such as topography, environmental considerations, and cost efficiency.

Project Execution:
o Supervise project rollout, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

o Manage material selection, conduct site inspections, and evaluate compliance with regulations and standards through ongoing assessments of work-in-progress.

o Identify necessary materials based on design specifications and project outlines. Engage with suppliers for material procurement. Ensure quality control of materials to meet required standards and specifications. Collaborate with construction teams to manage the delivery and utilization of materials in line with project timelines and priorities.
o Track construction progress, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules.
o Provide technical support and guidance during field assessments throughout construction activities. Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

o Act as the project lead for significant construction and maintenance initiatives, leveraging engineering design expertise for critical projects.

o Resolve technical challenges encountered during construction and recommend solutions.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
o Perform inspections to confirm adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
o Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
o Ensure that all project documentation is precise and current.

Risk Management:
o Identify potential risks and hazards associated with pipeline projects and assist in formulating mitigation strategies to ensure safety.
o Monitor project risks throughout the lifecycle and implement corrective measures as required.

Stakeholder Communication:
o Communicate project progress, milestones, and challenges to project managers, team members, and external stakeholders.
o Address inquiries from regulatory agencies, landowners, and community representatives.

Budget and Cost Control:
o Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost projections.
o Monitor expenditures and track project costs to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Proficient with ASME B31.8 and CFR DOT Part 192
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
7+ years of experience in natural gas distribution and transmission projects, pipeline design, or related infrastructure.
Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools (AutoCAD).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
