Aircraft Structures Technician in Wichita, KS
Position Overview:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft final assembly and systems integration.
  • Execute modifications to adapt corporate aircraft for military surveillance purposes.
  • Conduct inspections, identify issues, and repair components and systems in confined areas.
  • Assemble and install various aircraft components, including fitted parts, sheet metal assemblies, and essential equipment.
  • Complete necessary documentation and prepare aircraft for operational readiness.
  • Assist in the movement and positioning of aircraft and equipment as required.
  • Analyze hydraulic fluids for contamination in relevant aircraft models and support equipment.
  • Provide assistance in functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems as challenges arise.
  • Modify aircraft systems and structures in accordance with engineering directives.
  • Possess knowledge of mechanical systems in aircraft.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications.

• Familiarity with operating ground support equipment.

• Proficient in understanding system schematics.

• Operate ground support equipment to replicate ground and flight conditions.

• Awareness of safety protocols and operating procedures for powered aircraft.

• Capability to obtain and renew necessary certifications, including CFC certification.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, modifying, and repairing mechanical aircraft systems and structures.

• Work Environment: Flight Test Center in a non-climate controlled hangar.
Compensation:

• Hourly rate ranges from $37 to $44, based on experience.

• Example of compensation structure: Top rate of $44/hour includes per diem ($23.50/hour taxed and $20.50/hour untaxed).
Work Schedule:

• Flexibility required for 1st, 2nd, and weekend shifts.

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM

• Weekend: Friday - Sunday: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Contract Duration:

• Temporary position lasting 5 months.
