Aviation Maintenance Technician - Structures Specialist

The Structures Technician I is tasked with demonstrating expertise in performing a variety of repairs and modifications, from minor to major, with minimal oversight.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exhibit high proficiency in fabrication, cold working, flap peening, and jacking/shoring of aircraft.
- Utilize technical documentation and schematics to identify part numbers and execute repairs effectively.
- Ensure that all work complies with stringent quality standards.
- Provide guidance and direction to less experienced technicians.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant aviation sheet metal experience and/or training is required.
- An A (airframe) or P (powerplant) license may be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Previous experience in inventory management and barcode systems is advantageous.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Constantly: Engaging in lifting up to 10 lbs., standing, walking, and wrist movements, while being exposed to varying environmental conditions.
Frequently: Lifting up to 40 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 20 feet, and performing basic depth perception tasks. Working at heights of 4 feet or more, on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and near energized components.
Occasionally: Lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs., sitting, and operating motorized or electrical equipment, along with basic color vision tasks.
