Position Overview:

The Aircraft Structural Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and performance of aircraft. This position involves a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of aircraft structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct modifications, removal, replacement, and re-installation of aircraft components, ensuring quality and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Utilize metalworking equipment, hand tools, and powered tools effectively for aircraft structural maintenance.
  • Design and recommend structural repair procedures, including the selection of materials and fasteners.
  • Fabricate parts from metal, plastic, and fiberglass, adhering to quality standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to maintenance activities.
  • Perform aircraft inspections, including inventory and acceptance checks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention standards.
Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience as a Heavy Structural Mechanic, with a focus on composite work. Completion of relevant training programs or equivalent courses is preferred. A valid state driver's license is required, and candidates must be able to meet all necessary licensing and clearance requirements.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires physical activity typical of a shop environment, including the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates should have good vision capabilities, including close vision and depth perception.

Work Environment:

The work environment may vary, with potential exposure to inclement weather and high noise levels. Safety precautions must be observed at all times.

Licensing and Certifications:

Successful candidates will be required to obtain specific certifications and training within a designated timeframe upon hiring.
