Job Overview

The Crisis Recovery Advocate plays a vital role at Hope Network Behavioral Health, focusing on delivering essential intervention strategies and support to individuals experiencing crises within a residential program. This position is dedicated to providing tailored interventions, ensuring the well-being and safety of those served, and facilitating their integration into the community or the least restrictive environment possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain regular and reliable attendance as a fundamental requirement of this role.
  2. Exhibit professional conduct that aligns with the mission, values, and policies of Hope Network Behavioral Health.
  3. Recognize and respond to signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, implementing safety protocols to protect individuals in care.
  4. Effectively apply a Person-Centered Approach and Individualized Service Plans for each individual served.
  5. Utilize effective communication techniques to foster collaborative relationships with individuals and their support networks.
  6. Promote holistic health and wellness across physical, emotional, spiritual, and social dimensions.
  7. Assess and address medical, behavioral, and social needs while adhering to established training protocols.
  8. Complete Medication Administration Training and ensure accurate medication delivery in accordance with policy.
  9. Assist with the intake and discharge processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  10. Implement crisis prevention and intervention techniques as required, documenting incidents appropriately.
  11. Maintain accurate records of care and any unusual occurrences, following established documentation procedures.
  12. Facilitate access to recreational and psychoeducational activities for individuals in care.
  13. Support individuals in navigating challenges related to human rights and self-advocacy.
  14. Recognize the importance of family and social relationships in enhancing quality of life and community integration.
  15. Perform operational tasks necessary for the efficient functioning of the facility.
  16. Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to safety standards and policies.
  17. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities as required.
  18. Transport individuals to medical appointments when necessary, reporting any vehicle concerns.
  19. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Valid driver's license preferred.
  3. Certification in CPR/First Aid is required.
  4. Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends.
  5. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform necessary physical tasks.
  6. Demonstrated empathy and understanding towards individuals served.
  7. Attention to detail in documentation and medication administration.
  8. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in addressing medical and behavioral issues.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.

Experience:

  1. Basic computer skills are required.
