LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) is a leader in the development and manufacturing of advanced lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage solutions. We are seeking a dedicated individual to enhance our IT support operations.

Role Summary:

The IT Support Specialist will be tasked with delivering exceptional technical assistance and customer service to our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct technical support and customer service to both local and remote personnel through various communication channels.
  • Monitor and maintain server functionality to ensure optimal performance of all operational systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the remote infrastructure support team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Set up and configure personal computers, network printers, peripherals, and software, ensuring proper connectivity.
  • Install and configure wireless access points and network switches.
  • Uphold system security protocols in alignment with corporate policies.
  • Utilize tools such as Active Directory and Remote Desktop for effective support.
  • Manage audio/visual equipment, including video conferencing tools and presentation devices.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance diagnostic skills and expand knowledge to support the IT team effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following established standards.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Vocational Certificate or Associate's Degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience:

  • 1 to 3+ years of experience in IT, familiar with various operating systems.
  • Knowledge of desktop operating systems, office applications, and hardware installation/troubleshooting is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
