About the Role

The Crisis Recovery Advocate is a key associate at Hope Network Behavioral Health whose primary responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing intervention techniques and support to individuals in crisis residential programs
  • Ensuring the optimal health and safety of individuals served
  • Assisting individuals to become integrated into their communities and least restrictive environments
  • Supporting individuals in areas such as mobility, activities of daily living, communication, cognition, health management, social networking, vocational, leisure time management, and community integration
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Providing direct supervision to individuals served or tracking their whereabouts depending on their assessed level of independence
  • Implementing Hope Network Safety Plans and Procedures to ensure the safety of individuals served at all times, including emergency situations
  • Knowledgeable of and successfully implementing a Person-Centered Approach/Individualized Service Plan for each individual served
  • Recognizing communication as a core function of support and using person-first language and effective communication skills to establish a collaborative therapeutic relationship with individuals served and professional relationships with their social support networks and any external stakeholders
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license (may be required on some shifts)
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs non-stationary weight
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, pivot, and kneel while bearing the weight of individuals served
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy for individuals served, being sympathetic to their needs and understanding when needed
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail when interacting with consumers, passing medications, and completing documentation
