Position Overview:
As a Customs Compliance Specialist, you will be pivotal in managing the necessary documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the importation of goods into the United States on behalf of various clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Accurately classify goods for customs clearance using various resources, including databases and tariff books.
  • Process and manage import-related documentation for submission to US Customs, including oversight of limited Participating Government Agencies (PGAs).
  • Maintain and update all shipment documentation to comply with record-keeping regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to all international import regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide high-quality service to clients.
  • Handle agency brokerage shipments efficiently.
  • Comply with all government and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • No prior industry experience is necessary.
  • Data entry and keyboard proficiency are essential.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner) is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage a high volume of work and handle time-sensitive tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of utilizing multiple systems and reference materials.
  • Interact effectively with internal staff and management at all levels.
