Role Overview:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Banking Management Military Apprentice (SAFE) within the National Branch Network, part of the Consumer, Small and Business Banking division. In this role, you will lead, manage, and develop a diverse team of high-performing individuals, fostering a culture of engagement and accountability towards achieving business objectives. Successful managers in branch banking are adept at guiding a well-defined customer engagement process, coaching team members on behaviors that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth, while ensuring operational excellence. This role also allows you to directly meet customer needs by assisting with transactions, thereby serving as a role model for your team in delivering exceptional customer service focused on relationship building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in less complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process enhancements within the Branch Banking functional area.
  • Analyze basic business, operational, or technical challenges that require research and evaluation, exercising independent judgment to guide medium-risk deliverables.
  • Present solutions for more complex situations while developing expertise in Branch Banking policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Branch Banking colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including both internal and external customers.
  • Participate in a structured apprenticeship program that includes on-the-job training, coursework, and mentorship under the guidance of a hiring manager and program manager.
  • This SAFE position involves customer interaction and may include offering or negotiating terms for secured transactions, requiring compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of finance or budgetary experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Military experience in any branch of service.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role within the military.
  • Leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal partners.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
  • Integrity and professionalism in interactions with customers and team members.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with compliance controls and risk management.
Job Expectations:
  • Enrollment in Wells Fargo's DOL Registered Apprentice Program is required, with apprentices considered full-time employees.
  • This position requires SAFE registration upon employment.
  • Current or previous military experience is required.
