About the Position:

Wells Fargo is on the lookout for a Branch Banking Management Military Apprentice (SAFE) within our National Branch Network, part of the Consumer, Small and Business Banking division. In this role, you will lead, manage, and nurture a diverse team of high-performing individuals, fostering a culture of engagement and accountability towards achieving business objectives. Effective Branch Banking Managers excel in guiding a well-defined customer engagement process, coaching specific behaviors that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth, while ensuring operational excellence. This includes executing policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and managing the allocation of personnel and financial resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in initiatives to identify and implement process improvements within the Branch Banking functional area.
  • Analyze business, operational, or technical challenges requiring research and evaluation, exercising independent judgment to navigate medium-risk deliverables.
  • Provide recommendations for resolving complex situations while developing expertise in Branch Banking policies and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Participate in a structured apprenticeship program that includes on-the-job training, coursework, and mentorship, under the guidance of a hiring manager and program manager.
  • Meet customer needs through transaction assistance, serving as a role model for delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in finance or budgeting, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Military experience in any branch of service.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles within a military context.
  • Leadership experience in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal partners.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and accountability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in managing time and competing priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of compliance controls and risk management.
Job Expectations:
  • Enrollment in Wells Fargo's DOL Registered Apprentice Program is mandatory.
  • This position requires SAFE registration upon employment.
  • Current or previous military experience is essential.
