Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at Revere Plastics Systems. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our injection molding equipment by managing materials and supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity to ensure quality levels are maintained and continuously improved.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction levels.
  • Assist in the training of personnel.
  • Conduct regular inspections of material hoppers and grinders to ensure they are full and empty, respectively.
  • Maintain proper size cartons and control the amount of cartons at each machine, stacked as neatly as possible.
  • Ensure that operators have enough components at machines so downtime can be eliminated.
  • Verify that all jobs are using regrind at all times per control plans.
  • Break down all empty gaylords and store them neatly in the proper location.
  • Remove all materials and finished goods from around machines from previous runs during mold and material changes.
  • Read mold books to determine what packaging is to be used for each job.
  • Build packaging for the jobs running and ensure that workstations do not run out of packaging.
  • Weigh and re-label gaylord material/components and take them to the proper location.
  • Break down all cartons from previous runs and neatly stack them in the warehouse.
  • Drain hoppers and grinders.
  • Clean machines and grinders from top to bottom during each and every mold and/or material change.
  • Properly check material in and out of the warehouse.
  • Fill hoppers with new material as soon as possible so it will be dried in time for the next run.
  • Verify that the right material type is being used with the right regrind ratio.
  • Label hoppers and grinders with the correct material lot number.
  • Check with the Production Supervisor if in doubt about material type, regrinds, piece weights, etc.
  • Responsible for cleaning up any materials that may have spilled.
  • Perform other jobs as directed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid forklift license required.
  • Basic knowledge of injection molding equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of molding materials.
  • Strong safety orientation.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.
  • Willingness to take special training courses when required.
Work Environment

The noise level is moderate, and you may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
