Position Title: HVAC Account Manager

Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be tasked with identifying and securing new business opportunities, delivering comprehensive product information to clients, nurturing existing relationships, crafting persuasive sales presentations, and diligently following up on client interactions. Additional responsibilities include overseeing client pricing, managing accounts receivable, ensuring quality assurance, and participating in industry events.

  • Adhere to EMCOR Government Services' established sales philosophy and processes.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients and projects, utilizing various outreach methods such as direct communication with Chief Engineers, Property Managers, and Asset Managers.
  • Build and sustain relationships with prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Branch Manager to continuously enhance account management strategies.
  • Utilize analytical skills to develop solution-oriented programs aimed at increasing sales and profitability.
  • Prepare and present tailored client proposals.
  • Draft and review comprehensive proposal documents, ensuring alignment with EMCOR standards.
  • Drive sales initiatives to achieve defined profit margins and market share.
  • Engage professionally with team members and other departments within EMCOR.
  • Commit to personal and professional development through training and skill enhancement opportunities.
  • Achieve annual sales targets as outlined in performance plans.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Compensation Overview

  • An annual draw will be established by management for each account manager, distributed in weekly payments.
  • Account managers will receive annual sales plans across various categories, with expectations to meet or exceed these targets.
  • The sales plans will be structured to cover the costs associated with the account manager's role, with successful achievement being a condition of employment.
  • Compensation details will be provided in accordance with EMCOR's sales compensation plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related technical field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in HVAC commercial services or a related area, preferably within Facilities Management.
  • Proven customer engagement and sales skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including cost modeling for proposals.
  • Experience in developing technical and financial proposals.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Competitive, articulate, goal-oriented, and high-energy individual.
