Responsibilities:
- Counsel students in the areas of mental health and psychosocial matters, short-term therapy, risk assessment, crisis counseling/response, small group counseling, and wellness programs.
- Provide counseling services to under-represented and multi-cultural populations to support SUNY Broome's goals of cultivating a supportive, diverse, and inclusive community.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related area as a Qualified Health Professional.
- Two years of experience in an educational institution, public agency, or industry in the area of counseling is required; three years of comparable experience is preferred.
- The candidate must hold a professional license in a related mental health field and be eligible to work in the State of New York.
Additional Information:
- The annual salary for this position, depending on experience, starts at $67,820.
- Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
