Position Overview:

We are seeking an IT Project Manager who can effectively convert broader program objectives into meticulously crafted project strategies and assist clients in formulating innovative answers to intricate challenges. As a project manager, you will engage with various facets of the organization, balancing client needs with organizational development to contribute significantly to team achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform overarching program objectives into structured project plans.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure effective task management.
  • Facilitate communication to empower clients and ensure program goals are met with high standards.
  • Engage with clients to gather, comprehend, and articulate their IT needs, translating these into actionable project timelines and milestones.
  • Develop realistic, resource-allocated schedules to monitor and report on project progress.
  • Prepare and present executive-level communications and briefings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT project management.
  • Proven experience in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing IT projects.
  • Ability to establish program baselines and identify potential risks.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts, best practices, and crafting client solutions.
  • Capability to work autonomously with minimal guidance while leading a team.
  • Skill in anticipating, mitigating, and resolving risks and conflicts across various workstreams.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in performance management improvement related to IT governance.
  • Understanding of Governance Risk and Compliance management to ensure projects align with risk standards and compliance needs.
  • Knowledge of vendor management to ensure alignment of vendors, contracts, and Service Level Agreements.
  • SAFe Program Consultant Certification is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desirable.
  • Certifications in Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, Agile Project Delivery Management (APM), or Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt are advantageous.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Compensation:

Compensation at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected salary range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 annually. This range represents the typical salary for this role and is one aspect of Booz Allen's overall compensation package.
