Position Overview:

We are seeking an IT Project Manager who can effectively convert broader program objectives into meticulously crafted project plans while aiding clients in devising innovative solutions to intricate challenges. As a project manager, you will engage with various facets of the organization, balancing client care with organizational development and contributing significantly to team success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform larger program objectives into structured project plans and assist clients in formulating innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to ensure effective task management.
  • Facilitate client empowerment through clear communication, ensuring program goals are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Engage with clients to gather, comprehend, and articulate their IT needs, translating these into actionable project plans and milestones.
  • Create realistic, resource-loaded schedules to monitor and report on progress.
  • Draft and present executive-level communications and briefings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT project management.
  • Proven track record in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and delivering IT projects.
  • Experience in developing program baselines and identifying potential risks.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts, best practices, and crafting client solutions.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance and lead a team effectively.
  • Skill in anticipating, mitigating, and resolving risks and conflicts across various workstreams.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in performance management improvement supporting IT governance.
  • Knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance management to ensure projects align with risk standards and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of vendor management to ensure alignment of vendors, contracts, and Service Level Agreements.
  • SAFe Program Consultant Certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Certifications in Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, Agile Project Delivery Management (APM), or Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
