About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance and Reliability Manager to join our team at Allied Mineral Products. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading our maintenance organization and ensuring the effective, timely, and safe execution of all maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance organization and lead direct reports, including hiring and training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluations, and goal setting.
  • Develop maintenance standards and promote best practices in collaboration with the plant maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety policies, rules, and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Direct existing preventative and predictive maintenance work practices, and continuously improve processes and methods to improve equipment performance, reliability, and lower maintenance costs.
  • Work in partnership with facility leadership to achieve facility objectives, and establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers.
  • Provide technical ownership and leadership as Reliability and Maintenance SME for Allied's Columbus facilities.
  • Develop and champion the maintenance budget process, and foster partnerships in the cross-functional accountability of adhering to budgetary objectives.
  • Ensure timely, thorough, and complete work order execution and traceability through CMMS.
  • Utilize local resources, contractors, and suppliers to resolve complex maintenance challenges.
  • Manage maintenance parts inventory stocking levels and usage.
  • Support the implementation of Digitization and Automation projects for predictive maintenance and condition monitoring.
  • Analyze operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance related metrics.
  • Maintain excellent lines of communication with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and other Allied departments.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 3-5 years of supervision desired.
  • Reliability Engineering background preferred.
  • Results-driven individual with strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills to engage effectively and collaboratively across the organization.
  • Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving skills with knowledge across maintenance, engineering, and operations.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, inventory control, and fabrication desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, familiarity with OSHA guidelines, and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, CMMS systems, and Rockwell Automation software beneficial.
