Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in telecommunications equipment using various hand tools.
  • Verify the functionality of repaired or newly installed equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Replace or fix malfunctioning equipment, including telephones, wiring, and switching system components.
  • Adjust connections to modify circuit layouts according to technical documentation.
  • Demonstrate equipment to clients and provide guidance on usage while addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Evaluate test results and reports to identify necessary repairs and methods.
  • Enhance equipment performance based on customer feedback.
  • Install essential transmission components, including antennas and connectors.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and complete all required training and assessments promptly.

Required Skills:
  • Expertise in telecommunication systems, including VOIP and unified communications.
  • Understanding of Telephony and Electronics Theory.
  • Experience with cable installation, termination, and testing.
  • Knowledge of ISP and OSP cable installation (fiber, copper, coax).
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency and Microwave Communication.
  • Proficiency in Fiber Optics and Satellite Communication.
  • Understanding of Telecommunication Power Systems.
  • Basic construction and fabrication skills.
  • Awareness of safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
