Network Support Specialist

Job Summary:
GCI is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our Network Support team, you will provide exceptional technical support to customers, troubleshoot complex issues, and work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and customer education via various communication channels, including phone, email, and chat.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, escalating as necessary to higher-tier support teams.
- Collaborate with our Account team, customers, and higher Network tier support teams to resolve technical and service trouble reporting issues.
- Communicate all maintenance and installation activities that may impact services provided to customers.
- Support and mentor junior technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and growth within the team.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of four (4) years of combined work experience in customer service, helpdesk, LAN/WAN Networking, Telecommunications.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of LAN/WAN Networking, Telecommunications, and Microsoft operating systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in telecommunications, computer science, electronics, or a related field.
- Experience/knowledge of LAN/WAN Networking, Telecommunications, and Microsoft operating systems.
- Microsoft, ITIL, CompTIA, Cisco certifications.
- Telecommunications experience.
