Position Summary

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) / Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) professional will play a crucial role in guiding the organization in the development, execution, and communication of our sustainability initiatives. This position involves collaboration with leadership to address and manage stakeholder expectations concerning responsible and sustainable business practices.

The selected candidate will work closely with the plant's leadership and safety committees to enhance employee productivity and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with local management to conduct thorough accident investigations and prepare comprehensive incident reports.
  • Implement corporate safety programs aimed at reducing injury rates across all Arrow locations.
  • Act as the primary contact for healthcare services related to employee health issues and injuries.
  • Promote a culture of Human Performance by leading initiatives that improve site safety and facilitate risk reduction projects.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate safety and health technical standards in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Engage with OSHA/EPA regarding formal complaints and inspections, managing all interactions with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
  • Monitor sustainability trends and evaluate their implications for Arrow International.
  • Organize and oversee Sustainability and ESG materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement reviews.
  • Analyze peer disclosures and provide insights on enhancing Arrow International's sustainability and ESG communications.
  • Prepare and submit ESG reports as required.
  • Create, edit, and produce various materials, including Q&A documents, presentations, and talking points to support the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
  • Collaborate with global offices to promote social investment initiatives, including charitable donations and environmental programs.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role and at least 1 year in ESG.
  • Proficient understanding of OSHA regulations, including claims handling, accident investigation, and insurance policies.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, urgency-driven environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in creating presentations for senior management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management.
  • Familiarity with initiatives such as the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, Sustainable Development Goals, and the Value Reporting Foundation.
