We are currently in search of a skilled and dedicated IT Support Technician.

Position Overview: In the role of IT Support Technician at National Safety Apparel, Inc., you will be integral in delivering technical assistance to our staff and maintaining the IT framework at our facilities. Your duties will encompass diagnosing hardware and software problems, aiding in network setup and upkeep, and ensuring the seamless functioning of our systems. This role demands exceptional communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and adaptability to changing IT requirements.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Deliver tier I helpdesk support for all employees.
  • Provide technical assistance to end users, both remotely and in person, effectively resolving hardware, software, and network challenges.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to establish and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Assist in the configuration of production-related equipment and software.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Conduct regular system audits and implement security measures to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software procurement, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for internal use.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in IT support, recommending enhancements and implementing best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in an IT support capacity, ideally in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and user account management.
  • Basic understanding of hardware troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for the duration of the workday and perform extensive computer work. Must be able to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
