Role Summary

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) / Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing our sustainability strategy. This position will collaborate with leadership to identify and address stakeholder expectations, ensuring our operations align with responsible and sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with local management to conduct thorough accident investigations and prepare comprehensive incident reports.
  • Implement corporate safety initiatives aimed at reducing injury rates across all facilities.
  • Act as the primary contact for healthcare services related to employee health and safety.
  • Promote a culture of Human Performance by driving safety improvements and facilitating risk reduction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate safety and health standards in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Engage with OSHA/EPA on formal complaints and inspections, managing interactions with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
  • Monitor sustainability trends and evaluate their implications for Arrow International.
  • Organize and oversee sustainability and ESG assessments, engaging with stakeholders for feedback.
  • Review peer disclosures and provide insights to enhance our sustainability and ESG communications.
  • Prepare and produce various materials to support the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
  • Collaborate with global offices to promote social investment initiatives, including charitable donations and environmental programs.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in safety or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role and at least 1 year in ESG. A solid understanding of OSHA regulations, including claims handling and accident investigation, is essential.

Ideal candidates will thrive in high-pressure environments and have a proven track record of creating impactful presentations for senior management. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management are required, along with familiarity with initiatives such as the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures and Sustainable Development Goals.
