Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at TransForce. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery, including sweepers, trucks, snow fighters, front end loaders, and backhoes, in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform manual labor duties, including digging holes, trenches, and other excavations
- Load and unload trucks, and haul materials
- Plow and sand highways, and perform minor maintenance on equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to receive and interpret written and verbal instructions from supervisors
- Ability to use tools of trade in a workmanlike manner
- Valid Class B Massachusetts motor vehicle operator's license with a CDL
- Valid Hoist Engineer Class 2B license or ability to obtain within 120 days of appointment
- Safe driving record
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Proven history of dependability
- Ability to pass a practical test
- Computer literacy
This position requires agility and physical strength, and the ability to function in close quarters. The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions, including wet, hot, and cold weather. The position also requires some agility and physical strength, such as moving in, about, or over rough terrain, or standing or walking most of the work period.
