Medical Support Professional

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Professional to join our team at Penn State Health. As a Medical Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing assistance with various healthcare services, including obtaining specimens, conducting routine lab studies, and assisting with administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks
- Assist with obtaining and processing patient specimens
- Conduct routine lab studies and prepare samples for testing
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90 days of employment date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date
